Good News Out of Austin

With the resignations and retirements of three coaches, the future looks bright in Austin for 2011...

Greg Davis (offensive coordinator) resigned, Mac McWhorter (offensive line coach) and Mike Tolleson (defensive tackles coach) retired in an expected announcement yesterday.

Some have speculated that paves the way for Major Applewhite to become the offensive coordinator and more power given to Will Muschamp. Since the 'Horns won't be playing in anybody's bowl game, this should give them plenty of time to prepare.

Here would be my suggestions:

1. Make Mack Brown the Head Recruiter.
2. Make Will Muschamp the Head Coach.
3. Make Major Applewhite the Offensive Coordinator.

Perhaps 2011 might not be the year of their resurrection but I would imagine that by 2012 they will return to the BCS game...

When is Texas going to get with the DIVERSITY program and hire a Black Head Coach?

Getting rid of Greg Davis makes a lot of sense. This is just typical for the mighty Horns. For the 13 years under Davis, the horns produced the top 9 scoring seasons in school history, as well as 11 of the top 13 in total yardage seasons.

If it was up to me, I would fire Mackie Brown. He's the idiot responsible for most of his team's problems. Isn't he the recruiter that found such outstanding talent as Garrett Gilbert. I'm sorry but Gilbert just doesn't have that ring like Colt or Appletree, or whatever that other quarterback's name was.

GOSH RM, don't you think you should give Mack another chance - before you kick him out as Head Coach? This is their first HORRIBLE season...lets see how they rebound - before you lose hope?

It was just a suggestion. I'm sure Mack is safe as long as he wants to be.

Don't forget that the Mack also brought in OU's favorite Texas QB...and that would be Chris Simms.

Just face it, Mack has to go!!!!

Leave Mack in. We Aggies are starting to really like the guy. He is an outstanding coach for the mighty cows from Queer Town.

I hope Texas leaves Mack Brown as their head coach. I really like the way he looks when TV does close-ups on him everytime his team screws up. It's priceless.

I wonder how many diamonds he's made this year sqeezing his cheeks together on the sidelines.

I can't believe ya'll are so jealous of good ol' Mack.

The cows are on their way back!

I agree with the diversity comment. UT needs an openly gay or transgendered coach for its football team. As a fallback, it could hire a pirate, like Mike Leach, as its offensive coordintor. What's with all these non-pirate white heterosexuals. Whatever happended to keeping Austin wierd?

Things are looking up for the OKLAHOMA SOONERS too. The offensive co-ordinator, Kevin Wilson, is heading to Indiana to get his butt kicked, but at a big pay raise for the privelege.

We want Mike Leach or Mark Mangino back!!
