Things The Pros Should Learn

Thou shalt keep thine eyes upon the ball lest it smite you dreadfully.

The Bible teaches us that if we will train up a child in the way that he should that when he is old, he will not depart from it. Here are some vital Biblical lessons that we hope our pro tennis players learn:

Thou shalt not scratch thine private parts in public.
(Andy Roddick)

A woman shall always wear garments that are not see-through.
(Venus Williams)

Thou shalt not stretch thine garments when thou art frustrated.
(Andy Murray)

Thou shalt never uncover thine posterior in public.
(Alex Corretja)

Following the comment about scratching, perhaps the exhortation under Venus's picture should be, "Neither shall thy display thy privates in public". By changing the wording, one becomes politically correct and appeases those for whom a comment directed at a woman, vs all players, is offensive. And all of us blogodytes know how important pilical correctness is for you Randy.

I don't know about players, but the USTA should learn to use someone with public speaking skills when presenting awards at the US Open finals. The lady that provided the opening remarks at both the Women's and Men's awards ceremony was pathetic. All she could muster was reading from her script (poorly at that). If you listen to both speaches, they were identical except for the player's names. Such a high profile tournament shouldn't have such an incompetent speaker. Does anybody else feel the same way?

Maybe she should have asked DC for a teleprompter and if the prez were not busy golfing, he could show her how to read from it.

She's the President of the USTA. Nough said!
