Questions for Saturday's Officials Committee Meeting

Since our Officials Committee will be having their annual meeting on Saturday, I thought I might suggest some questions you could ask...

1. Is the Ad Hoc Committee still functioning and what matters have they discussed before this meeting? What decisions were reached in that meeting if it was held?

2. What is being done about scheduling an additional officials school for those who were unable to attend the first schools?

3. What is specifically being done to deal with the financial situation in San Antonio?

I'm sure our Sectional Chairman would be glad and able to answer all of these questions for you. Hopefully there will be a Roberts Rules of Order somewhere close by...

Does the secretary of the Officials Committee email out the minutes of the meetings or do they post them somewhere? How is the information from these meetings disseminated to the masses?

Is there any way to let everyone else know what is meant by "the financial situation in San Antonio" without giving names and having multiple grievances filed?

This "financial" thing has been referenced for months. What gives?

The Officials Committee Secretary (Jim Robinson) barely gets the minutes out to anyone. Legally they are supposed to post them somewhere but I don't know if it ever being done.

Your Sectional Chairman knows all the details of the financial situation in San Antonio. Let's wait and see if he discusses it in the Officials Committee meeting.

Seems that they were more than willing to discuss me at the last meeting so let's see if they continue to be so free in their discussions and criticisms.

If nothing is said or done, I might be able to share the details with you real soon.

Here is the inside skinny on the "financial thing" in San Antonio. It seems that the San Antonio Association Treasurer has absconded with the 'Accounts Payable.'

Our leadership (Texas section employees and Sectional Chairman) have known about this fiasco in San Antonio for quite some time now. Will be looking forward to hearing if anything was done about this on Saturday.

What is the deal with what's happening in San Antonio? I also have no idea what the Officials Committee can do about it. Isn't that a little out of their area of responsibility?

Wally,

Accounts payable is what you owe others. Don't know what is going on in San Antonio, but I'm pretty sure nobody took their debts. duh!
