But the biggest curiosity, at least at the outset, is: How will the Williams sisters do?
“It will be interesting to see how they come back. I think it’s interesting for the tour. It’s a good story,” Federer said Saturday. “It’s been an up-and-down, bumpy road for the women’s tour as of late. But we’ll see now how it goes here with the sisters back in the game.”
Part of the interest stems from wondering how much longer they’ll be around. Venus turned 31 on Friday; Serena will be 30 in September.
“Whenever they enter a Grand Slam tournament, it’s double the excitement and double the intrigue, I think, that they bring to the sport. They just bring a different level of tennis also, as far as the power and the emotional content,” said ESPN2 analyst Chris Evert, who won 18 Grand Slam titles.
“It would be monumental in my mind if Serena pulled off a win,” Evert added. “I personally don’t know how it’s humanly possible for someone to take a year off like that and have gone through what she’s been through physically with her ailments and … it would almost shock me if she did. But knowing Serena and the way she’s come back before, you can never count her out.”

It's a slap in the face for the WTA to allow the William's sisters to be playing pro tennis. They make a mockery of the game and should be suspended for not playing the minimum number of tournaments.
They are such divas. I can't wait for the USTA to name one of their new stadiums after them. It would be a perfect end.
If Serena wins Wimbledon, all it will prove is how weak women's tennis is. It's a joke that you have equal pay and get to watch bubble butt out-of-shape mammas play for a little over an hour. Personally, that's about 45 minutes more than I can take.
You are on target Girls Tennis Sux. Serena should have served a MAJOR suspension earlier and really cares about nothing other than the $$$$ and herself. She has no class yet she is and has a huge A**. The WTA and ITF showed how weak they are by not taking a tougher stand on her behaviour. I disagree a bit on the part of Venus, she may be distant and seem unsociable but at least she doesn't always play the race card like Serena and daddy when they don't like something!!! And you are probably also correct about a new stadium as this is the age of diversity or inclusion, I mean exclusion. I'm not sure what name they want it to be called this week but you can be sure whatever it is it is all really BS and anyone with any clue can see it. Unfortunately our sport in many areas has no integrity left and is left looking for an overnight fix that just isn't there. We need MAJOR RENOVATION but you can be sure it isn't coming in any future generations anytime soon. It is a long, long way off if at all and by this time it may be too late too save a sport that didn't have to go that way.
The reason why Serena has been out so long with a so called "injury" is also BS. The many lies that come out of her mouth are well documented but no one ever calls her on it. Look at her before and now. She has had some major plastic surgery done. It is pretty obvious, if not please retake your eye test for 2011 and become immediately decertified!!!!!

their opponents excellence that day.
The worst is the lack of a DNA test for Serena, to identify how much Y chromosome she possesses and does that qualify her as female,
or a steroid test to identify her female muscularity source.

Chris Evert made a great comment this morning during Serena's Wimbledon match. She stated Serena is becoming a more well rounded person. Boy did she hit the nail on the head. Have you seen that big butt. It is definitely well rounded and getting bigger day by day.
Serena is definitely female. No male can have that big of a butt.
It's laughable that Venus can get taken by a 40-year-old Japanese pusher at Wimbledon. The Williams are so over-rated.
And now Serena is complaining because she had to play her second round match on Court 2. Once complaint she had is that is was too far to walk. Maybe if she would spend some time getting in shape, she wouldn't have to complain about getting tired walking to court.
Lets just say, for talking sake, that they are women, they are great players (lots of championships), they are American, and they do have a fighting spirit. WHY BE SO HARD ON THEM? Is it that you wish you had their ability? If that was the case - for sure - you would handle everything a lot better - but the sad fact is - you dont - so appreciate them for their talent. And YES their butts....

baco you are wacko. why not appreciate the usa players that have some class not just A**. I can give Venus some credit because she isn't a card playing fool like her sister. Serena too is a good athlete but definitely not a good person. So as for this athletic envy thing you are way off base actually not even in the ballpark. If anything you should be ashamed and embarrassed as an American to have someone like her that people look up to. Especially if you are an official.The way she treats everyone on court is evidence of who she really is most of the time. Watch the press conferences and interviews after matches as well if you can't see through them like saran wrap you aren't paying attention at all. Plus her incidents are NOT isolated nor do they normally come with much if any repercussions because most of the organizations are afraid she will pull out the card in a ridiculous fashion as she and her father do regularly. Get a clue it is a joke the way she tries to act innocent all the while the insincerity, arrogance and ignorance is just below the surface but still right in your face. Try to keep it real or at least realistic and get some better facts before you support such a BIIIIIG LOSER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
