Just when you think we are doing a better job of teaching and training our officials we are brought back to reality when there is a tournament.
In a recent junior tournament with a format of 2 out of 3 sets with a 10 point tiebreaker for the 3rd set, here is the scenario:
Player A won the first set and Player B won the second set in a tiebreak. The players were confused about who should serve first in the 3rd set tiebreak so the official was called to the court.
Here was the ruling by the official: "Who served last in the 2nd set tiebreak? That determines who serves first in the 3rd set tiebreak."
We still have a way to go don't we....

oh good grief, I hope the official at least realized they take a 3 minute break and not 10 min for a MTB in lieu of 3rd
