Men in Action!

ITA men in action at Baylor University.

From time to time I find great pictorial opportunities--and one of those came yesterday at the Baylor versus Stanford men's match. Not only did I get to watch some of the finest ITA tennis I have ever seen, I also received this picture.

Pictured above is Ed Price arguing (as usual), Kevin Foster explaining, Myron Krueger looking for someone to torment, and David Fleuriet looking official.

Enjoy the moment...

Boy those fajitas from On The Border were good! Officials are well fed at Baylor.

Yep,there are the men standing around. I don't see any officiating going on and it looks like they all had one too many fajitas!

Looks like a smoke break to me.

If you would turn around 180° you would see our glorious Blog Master smoozing with his favorite out-of-state official.

Dear Lord,
Please keep your arm around my shoulder,
and your hand over my mouth.
Amen.

And isn't it wonderful that all of those officials are wearing their Baylor green shirts!

I wonder when the home cookin' Tulsa umpires will start wearing their home team uniforms. But then again, everybody already know they are bred to rule in favor of Tulsa.

Such pettiness with the green shirt comment, grow up. Maybe when working at Baylor we should wear green, working at Texas burnt orange, working at A&M maroon etc would that make you happy. I personally think all the ITA umpires working are very fair regardless of shirt color or location.

I'm really getting sick and tired of TexASS bloggers grouping all Tulsa officials as "homers" or "home cooking officials". There are some of us in Tulsa that call the ball as we see it. No matter who is playing...enough said.

We would never group everyone in Oklahoma into one group or we might get sued... However, for those who are guilty--if the shoe fits, wear it.

Maybe the Tulsa officials haven't taken their bi-annual eye tests yet. That could explain some of the errant calls coming forth from that town.

Line calls become a tad bit clearer when the beholder has 20-20 eyesight.

Or maybe the Tulsa officials don't understand that a ball hitting the line or just inside the line is actually a good shot. Most are newbie officials still learning the rules since many of the experienced officials are high tailing it away from that place so they don't get labeled as home cookers.

We should just change to white shirts so we can start hearing complaints how dirty they get. Some people just like to whine. Get over it. The shirts are much better than those crappy USTA shirts.
