Mystery official doing the "two chair stand" to officiate a match.
However, they do not have chairs for our officials--so we make do with what we have!
Pictured above is one of our officials doing the "two chair stand."
See if you can guess who it is...

hmm might have to use that idea for this coming weekend at the SWAC tournament. 7 matches in 3 days.
The good thing is that you don't have to buy an expensive officials chair.
The down side is that you can fall off real easily and your back hurts when you're been on two chairs for three hours.
I think it's my friend and MTOA treasurer, Randall Edwards. He's so cute :-) The apparent white shoes gave it away. Otherwise, I'd have gone for The MYRONIAN!
Looks like an "Aggie designed" solution to me.
I"m guessing RANDY
This is nothing new in venues where there are no chairs. However, there is legal liability for someone if an official should get injured.
Looks like the Myronian finally got to use his A&M degree and just 'Aggie Engineered' the situation.
Ron Ferguson?
Nope, it's the Myronian. Randall was working the SMU women Sunday. Ron doesn't wear a hat. And it's not Randy; all he does is stand around a chat with the coaches.
Just so you know...
I was standing on two chairs for 3.5 hours yesterday and only chatted with the coaches before the match began--like any good referee would do.
Sorry to disappoint you.
It is absurd that a collegiate match would devolve to stradding hard back chairs as the officials perch.
If D-1 USTA chair umps are accepting this as standard officiating infrastructure,
you are missing some leadership
in TX.OK ITA.
Check the SEC, you might want to move your retirement and enjoy ITA officiating.
From this angle it's not real clear, but it kinda looks like Beevis or maybe Butthead. Just pick one.
