Time For Our Tennis Family To Pray For Luke Siegel
Luke Siegel, son of former Texas Tech men's tennis coach Tim Siegel, was critically injured in a golf cart accident a few days ago. He is currently in the intensive care unit of the hospital with serious head trauma. Many of us have had the privilege of working with Tim over the years as he led the Tech Red Raiders to many successful seasons so I know you will all want to lift up Tim and Luke in your prayers.

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A child is in critical condition following an accident with a golf cart on Tuesday afternoon.
Nine-year-old Luke Siegel was driving the cart on 106th Street when it overturned on top of him. He suffered severe head trauma and is in critical condition at UMC. His father, Lubbock Cooper Head Tennis Coach Tim Siegel said they "just need prayers" at this time.
Lubbock Fire Rescue and EMS responded to the scene at 106th Street and Salem Avenue around 1:40 p.m. Tuesday.
The construction worker who called 911 said two boys were driving down 106th Street just past Salem Avenue on the golf cart. He said they were traveling at a high rate of speed doing donuts in the cul de sac.
The witness said the golf cart turned over, trapping the boy who was driving. There was another nine-year-old boy riding in the golf cart. He was not injured.
The accident is still under investigation.
We'll continue to update this story as we learn more.
