Resolution of A&M Protest

Well, the powers that be handed down their decision on the A&M protest of their recent loss to the SMU women.

The ruling: The match is declared a "non-match" but the players get to keep their results.

Members of the resolution committee are:

Bobby Kleinecke (Texas A&M coach)
Jeff Hammond (TCU coach)
Sujay Lama (UNT coach)
At one time the UTSA women's coach was on this committee but not sure about her membership today.

Due to my vow of impartiality, I will not comment but sure would welcome yours.

So the match that doesn't count for the teams, counts for the players? That seems odd.

(We assume the A&M coach recused himself from voting.)
I don't see how they could have come to this conclusion. A player plays 5 games and then is unable to continue because of injury.
(Or was the decision made due to something else that we don't know about?)
Its not like she went out there with a cast on her leg and one arm in a sling! This is going to open up a new can of worms that folks are going to regret.
But most of all: I can't wait for TCU vs. SMU women next year. Lauren will want to win all 9 matches at love and then run over the Frogs with the team bus. Memories can be a powerful motivator!

This is a no-brainer, except I would have awarded the team match to A&M based on FAC K.2 which states "Only physically able players shall be listed in the line-up. Coaches shall list players in the line-up only if they are able to play."

Congratulations to SMU and especially - Coach Lauren on beating A&M. HOWEVER, Bobby this is VERY SAD on your part and the part of 'your' committee friends. I do not have to wonder if Lauren would of reacted the same way if the shoe was on the other foot. SAD!!!

Did Kleinecke recuse himself from this appeal and it's final outcome?

Do you have any information on the logic behind the decision?

That is a biggest joke ever!!!! One again we have a prove that college rules and organizations involved in college tennis are corrupted and just bunch of s***t in general!!! Did you just wright that B.K. was on the committee that was taking care of this situation... Isn't he a coach of one of the teams involved?? How is that possible?? This is F***d up!!!!!

I saw the match and SMU won fairly and B.K. is to big of a p***y to admit that... Maybe that is why A&M are not ranked top 75 anymore cause their coach is a looser who doesn't know what to do anymore to make his team win so he is trying to get more wins by protesting after the match is over!!! Wooohooo goooo B.K.!!!!! You should be very very proud of yourself!!! Way to be an example for others!!!

Entire ITA, NCAA or whoever was taking care of this situation should be embarrassed that they allow this to happen... It just proves that any team losing a match can look for some kind of excuse to protest and get the match cancelled... but wait we all already knew that that you guys have no clue what's going on inside your own organizations!!! nothing new!!! Bunch of...... [use your own word to fill in]!!!!

FYI win over Texas A&M didn't give SMU much anyways cause A&M sucks so much this year that beating them didn't help SMU's ranking at all and they are not in the same conference so it was just a waste of time and $$ for SMU team...A&M should be happy that such a good team as SMU wants to go out there and play them and should take it as a good learning experience but I am sure that A&M coach is not intelligent enough to think about this in such way... Sorry A&M maybe it's time to make a change to your coaching stuff from crying pu***ies to someone with balls that can actually sit down after losing a math and figure out what to improve instead of going around and crying to people!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the funniest s***t I have seen in my life!!!!!! hmm... B.K. Texas A&M coach - coach of a team who is involved in the protest... J. H. TCU coach - SMU beat TCU 7-0 well that give TCU a way to get SMU back to some degree... S. L. UNT coach - UNT?? hahahah wtf is UNT?? do they even know how to play tennis?? but seriously is that even 1st division team??

Just so you know B.K. entire state of Texas is laughing at you (and probably most of the country as well) so congrats!!! We all hope you are proud of yourself!!! just quit the job and let A&M be coached by someone who knows what's going on... there are many great coaches in this country that would bring A&M back to the top but you are not one of them... You just have no idea how to do it so just leaveeeeeeeee!!!!

My thoughts are that this is your typical PC non-ruling. Either uphold the protest or reject it!!!
From what I've seen and heard, I don't think SMU was trying to stack their lineup with an injured player for this match. However, if she was not physically able to compete, then SMU just needed to move everybody up and play #7.

1. If this was a 4-3 match, then uphold the protest and give A&M the win.
2. A&M should not have protested a 5-2 match. That's weak. You got beat. Accept it for once.
3. How is it that a coach in the protest is on the resolution committee??
4. Somehow, I don't think this kind of decision would happen if this was a Men's match!!

And of course to totally screw up some of these comments:

Wednesday, March 17 at College Station:
#120? TAMU beats #14 Arkansas women 4-3.

Go figure!

Rather interesting place you've got here. Thanx for it. I like such themes and everything connected to this matter. I would like to read more on that blog soon.
