2009 Chair Academy


The 2009 Chair Academy is all set to begin on May 10-12, 2009, in conjunction with the men's National Junior College Tennis Tournament in Plano. This year's school promises to be one of the best ever--and here are this year's participants:

I hope someone recommended for them to bring a seat cushion with them. After 6 or 7 chairs a day, their little bottoms will be numb.

Congratulations to each of these participants. They will receive great training that will prepare them for future chair work. So much of how I chair a match today, goes back to what I learned in Plano.

Make sure they all learn how to say, "Any further outbursts in a foreign language will be subject to the point penalty system." :)

I hear Zina Garrison is suing the USTA for firing her from her Fed Cup coaching job. I wonder if she will win?
