Don't forgot your diet coke, this is Dr. Pepper country!
I heard the Oklahoma umpire invited to work the Big 12 got his pink panties in a wad during an altercation with the OU Head Coach and elected to drop out of officiating. I always thought the officials from Okie land were tougher than that. Guess I was wrong.
I might be willing to consider working a "tornado match" if nobody else wants to if I felt it might move me up the pecking order to work the conference tournament every so often.
But in all my years of working Big 12, I have never been invited to work the big dance. I'm not one of the privileged favorites. Therefore, it will be a cold day in hell before I offer to do one of those long travel, 2-3 days, make almost 0 money trips for her.
And by the way, I love this work. But bosses have to realize that they get back from subordinates as much as they put in to them. She gives me next to nothing and that's what she gets back from me when she is in a bind!
Does anyone REALLY need to be there for the women's half? I cannot see anyone getting more than 2 points off THE Baylor women. Now the guys draw maybe a little more interesting... i see tough matches for ALL!!!!

I'm sure there will be lots of good stories to be told after looking at who is working the tournament.
Not everyone is off. There are many quality officials who NEVER get invited because the coordinator has her favorites, the same every year.
You have to travel to MO and put your self in harms way for no money to get invited.
Is the College Station diva still working only one day or has that changed?
I heard there are no Oklahoma officials working this year. Is that actually true?
