I am sure it is purely a coincidence that A&M is not included on this initial list. Does it have anything to do with the working relationship between that coordinator and everyone else?
It looks like most of these rates are sans any mileage allowance. And that's doable in a large metro area like DFW with a large official pool. But isolated universities with a small # of local officials would be hard pressed to obtain the requested # of officials without a mileage allowance.
A&M is not included because we have never been given their information.
The policy in DFW is that there should be plenty of ITA officials so they shouldn't have to pay the mileage. I imagine it is the same in Houston. I don't necessarily agree with the policy but its life...
In the Dallas market we usually get the vast majority of our officials from the area. Sometimes we do go as far away as Austin and/or Norman to find good ones...
Big 10 - University of Minnesota Mens and Women's -- $60 for duel chair singles only, $70 for chair both singles and doubles and $80 for referee who is in the chair for both singles and doubles. No Mileage. All matches chaired, no roving.
With all respect to the The Big Ten Conference and to the officials who work those matches.....you folks are getting hosed.
How many officials are assigned for each match? Are all matches chaired or do you have a referee and two officials for most matches?
Do the schools pay or does an area association bill the schools and then pay the officials? Are they paid after each match or at end season or ?
Hmm that's very interessting but honestly i have a hard time seeing it... I'm wondering what others have to say....
