And To Think They Want (And Expect) Equal Prize Money

Just finished watching Serena lose a match she should have won handily--and then a commercial came on where Venus Williams has the audacity to talk about equal prize money for the women.  If it wasn't so sad it would be laughable...

Just take a look at the women's draw and there is nothing there.  All the good players are gone and now we will be subjected to a week of watching mediocre players competing for the grandest prize in tennis.

I guess the old saying is true that "even a blind pig finds an acorn once in a while."  Too bad we have to sit and watch it happen.

Who's gonna sit and watch??
But, good for the 2nd tier players to get to play for a BIG PAYDAY.

The worst thing is having to listen to Chris Evert and Pam Shriver bad mouth Lisicki about how she's going to get killed next round, since she played way over her head.

Really, is this the best they can come up with. How about simply stating Serena got her big fat butt kicked by a cute little white girl. That would suffice just fine.

The saying is "Even a blind PIG finds an acorn once in a while" For those of you lacking in farm knowledge, a sow is a female pig usually with a litter and not a very flattering thing to call any female. Really RM grow up.
But don't you find it strange that so many top male and female players have gone out with left knee injuries or lost to players they should not have?????? Passive aggressive behavior???

Sorry but where I grew up the reference was to a blind sow and not a pig but since it obviously offends some female reader out there I'll change it to PIG. Happy now?

Since when were you ever concerned with offending a female?

I think the last 4 in the women's draw is an interesting group, maybe not for the media, but for the tennis fan. Will be fun to watch.
By the way, after reading many of the comments in the last few posts, what a mean spirited and bigoted group so many of you appear to belong. You are supposed to be professionals- this is an officials blog I thought. Lighten up, enjoy the game. Life is too short to hate.

Isn't it interesting how some get their noses out of joints by simply hearing an old parable quoted to them. The bottom line is that the women's tennis at Wimbledon this year is a pathetic joke.
