So you want to become an official?

Not a week goes by that I don't meet someone who is interested in becoming an official--and they usually are interested in becoming an ITA official.

I always recommend they come here to the blog page for more information.  Its much easier than trying to explain all of the steps that you have to go through to get certified.

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BECOMING AN OFFICIAL, look over to the right hand side of this page and click on "Becoming A USTA Official" and they will explain all the steps in detail.

After you get started (or get certified) as a USTA official, contact me personally and we'll get you down the path to ITA certification.  You can also go to the right hand side of this page and click on "Becoming an ITA Official" and they will explain all the steps to you.

After A Long Delay--We're Back!

After a few months of very little blogging, its time to crank it up again!  We all have a lot of time on our hands so let's talk tennis in general and tennis officiating specifically...

Here are some thoughts about what we could discuss:

*  What do we need to do to get certified this year?
*  What is the ITA doing about certification?
*  Where do we get the new ITA apparel?
*  Do you think we will ever have another USTA tournament to officiate?
*  New methods of enlisting new officials.

Send us your thoughts and ideas...

What To Do During the Shutdown: TRY PICKLEBALL!

No tennis official on earth could have imagined what we are going through these days with the complete shutdown due to the Coronavirus.  Most of us have painted everything, mowed everything, cleaned everything, and now we are wondering what to do with ourselves...

To help with the overwhelming boredom, we got some good tape and made our own pickleball court in our cul de sac!  Its great fun and didn't cost anything but the cost of the tape...

Send us your thoughts and let us know what you're doing these days...
