THAT is kinda narrow minded about the 81 minutes...
Lets see, how about the countless hours of practice, matches, travel, coaching, and many other things that go into making a Champion...
On the other hand, I will say this... it is HORRIBLE that we pay players of ANY sport that kinda money!
It is getting harder and harder (more expensive)for me to take my kids to the events and have a cheap hot dog - that kinda pay is crazy!
I wonder how it compares to basketball players, golfers and other big time money makers
That's my four cents - (I am charging more now for my thoughts)
BACO
How about $35,000 for losing first round!
That is just silly!
So the Bryans winning the doubles championship pocketed 229000 each and the quarter finalist losers of the mens and WOMENS singles draws pocket 313000 - something ain't right here... That mens doubles final today was 100 times better than the 81 minute beatdown
Couldn't help notice BJ king in the stands. She even was able to get her ugly mug in the photo of the Bryan bros holding their trophy. Pretty much ruined that photo op.
What a joke of a match. The "highlight" was Lisicki sobbing at the baseline during the second set as she realized how pitiful her game was. I gusess she cheered up as soon as she remembered the payday even the loser gets.
