You need to start a new topic on ITA availabilities already out for next year. For example, the coordinator for Arkansas already has a deadline for applying with the stipulation you can't pull out of your assignments. Am I the only one who thinks this is dumber than dirt? Who can nail down what you will be doing 6-7 months from now, other than the amazing Kreskin!!!!
Of course. They would look awesome and with A&M now gone, noone would object.

Many people can "nail down" what they are doing 6-7 months from now. If you are truly committed to anything and are organized, you can figure out how to make it work. And by the way, the spring season is 7-10 months from now.
Fortunately most officials have day jobs to pay the bills, so trying to schedule time off in the middle of the week over half a year in advance is ludicrous. Some of these coordinators need to check their egos at the front door and get back to reality.
Scheduling NINE+ month out... Good topic to discuss - if CERTAIN feelings are not hurt!!!
I heard that some people have already been asked to work NINE months out... Are these few coordinators that needy? Or is it that they have NOTHING better to do than throw their "Coordinator Weight" around - by having people make committments so far out...
COME ON - I know the choice to reply or not to reply - but, lets be reasonable!
why the hate for a coordinator seeking to get officials early on? If you can not commit then wait and commit when you. I have already been contacted for 2 conference tournaments for next April. So sounds like he/she wants to get a leg up so not sure why the big commotion as it is not arrogance but good coordinating. Some wait and some go early big deal as long as all the matches get taken care of.
